Carolyn Jean Young, 69

Carolyn Jean Young, 69 of West Portsmouth died Wednesday October 14, 2015 at Heartland of Portsmouth. She was born August 21, 1946 in Portsmouth to the late Eugene Harold and Wanda Christine Setters Newman. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by 2 daughters; Tina and Angela Holsinger and a sister June Newman.

Carolyn is survived by 3 sons; Eugene Holsinger, Dennis Young and Ralph Young, a daughter Robin Holsinger, 2 brothers; Mike and Gary Newman, 4 sisters; Judy Newman, Virginia Hammonds, Marion Newman and Josie Wright, 5 grandchildren that she raised; Derick Holsinger, Tasha Nelson, Andrea Holsinger, Jackie Holsinger and Christina Holsinger, 10 grandchildren; Cody Holsinger, Courtnie Rogers, Brittany Skaggs, Kyla Holsinger, Danny Young, Christopher Young, Heather Young, Stephanie Keeton, Jonathan Alley and McKenzie Young, along with 17 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday October 24, 2015 at I.P.C. Church in Sand Hill, KY with Gary Newman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
