Clara B. Blevins, 79

Clara B. Blevins, 79 of Friendship passed away Monday August 31, 2015 at SOMC Hospice. She was born June 8, 1936 in Scioto County to the late Cecil and Peachie Shively Murphy. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith, She was a member of the Friendship Fire Department Auxiliary. Along with her parents Clara was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Jonas Blevins, a son Jonas L “Frosty” Tom Blevins Jr., 2 daughters; Laura Mae Hayslip and Joyce Ann Cook, 3 sisters; Jean Doss, Connie Murphy and Anna Haynes, a brother Howard Murphy and 3 grandchildren; Stephanie Frye, Greg Roe and Jason Richmond.

Clara is survived by 3 sons; William Henry “Red”(Mary) Blevins, Roy “Pete” (Reenie) Blevins and Travis (Jessie) Blevins , 7 daughters; Lenora Blevins and Carl Holsinger, Harriette (Rick) Richmond, Brenda Parker, Audrey Roe, Louise (Kenny) Holsinger, Wilma (Leroy) Holsinger, Tammy Cooper and Cathy Blevins, 3 sisters; Bonnie Doss, Margaret Journey and Susie Flannery, over 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren and gt gt grandchildren that she enjoyed and loved as well as many nieces and nephews and family members.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday September 5, 2015 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth and interment in McKendree Cemetery.
