Geneva “Ruth” Cooper, 80

Geneva “Ruth” Cooper, 80 of West Portsmouth, died Monday April 3, 2017 at her home. She was born May 29, 1936 in West Portsmouth to the late William and Laura B. Albrecht. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Charles Cooper Sr. in 1983 to whom she was married over 30 years, 5 siblings; Bill Albrecht, Dick Albrecht, June Albrecht, Pauline Price, and Katherine Matthews. Ruth was a member of Turkey Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Friendship. She loved her church and church family.

Ruth is survived by a son, Charles “Bub” (Marcia) Cooper Jr. of West Portsmouth, a daughter, Laura (Michael) Day of West Portsmouth, 3 grandchildren; Christopher (Sarah) Day of Stout, Holly (Shawn) Williams of Canal Winchester, and Charlie Cooper of West Portsmouth, 2 great grandchildren; Joel and Jonah of Canal Winchester, and a sister, Bernice Albrecht of West Portsmouth.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday April 5, 2017 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with David Sibole officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
