Louis A Pollard, 90
Louis A. “Lou” Pollard, 90 of Moscow, formerly of West Portsmouth, died Monday February 12, 2018 at his home. He was born September 12, 1927 in Portsmouth to the late Kilby and Rose Eulett Pollard. He was a United States Air Force Veteran from the Korean War, a member of the Nauvoo United Methodist Church, a member of the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion, and retired from the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Reds and spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Razzle.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Virginia Lewis Pollard who he married on April 14, 1956, a son Emory Dials, a daughter Carolyn Dials Elliott and two grandsons, Carl and David Dials, and three brothers Donald Pollard, Edward Pollard and Paul Pollard (Peggy) and one sister Marie Spradlin.
Lou is survived by three sons Kenneth Dials Sr. of West Portsmouth, Rick Pollard (Trenda) of Moscow, Ohio and Todd Pollard (Kathy) of Hamersville, Ohio, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday February 16, 2018 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Mike Starkey officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with graveside rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home of Friday starting at 11:00 AM.
