Maxine Stevens, 84

Maxine Stevens, 84 of Pickerington, formerly of Portsmouth passed away Friday April 29, 2016 at the home of her daughter. She was born October 5, 1931 in South Webster to the late Conn Ratliff and June Steel Ratliff. Maxine was known for wanting to help those in their time of need. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a 40 year member of the Apostolic Church in Haverhill, Ohio. Besides her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Lester Stevens in April of 1999, her grandson Todd Stevens, son-in-law Gary Hardyman, and a brother Paul Ratliff.

Maxine is survived by her daughter Patricia Hardyman of Pickerington, Ohio, two sons; Ralph “Dawn” Stevens of Kingston, Ohio, Larry Stevens of Chino, Arizona, 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 4 sisters; Betty Lauder, Jean Burchett, Janet Mays all of West Portsmouth, Shirley (Jack) Maddix of Portsmouth, a brother Perry Ratliff of Portsmouth, a sister-in-law Patty Ratliff of West Portsmouth, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday May 5, 2016 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Mark Seevers officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
