William Henry “Red” Blevins, 57
William Henry “Red” Blevins, 57 of Stout, died Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born January 13, 1960 to the late Jonas and Clara Murphy Blevins. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jonas L, “Frosty” Blevins Jr and 2 sisters; Laura Hayslip, and Joyce Cook. Red was a Laborer and a member of Laborers Local 83 for over 30 Years. He was a member of the Portsmouth Eagles, Moose and American Legion Post # 471. He was a hard worker, a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Red is survived by his wife Mary Evans Blevins who he married in 1984, 4 sons; Billy (Amy) Evans of Wheelersburg, Jeffrey (Pamela) Evans of West Portsmouth, Kody Allen (Roxanna) Blevins of Stout, and William Henry (Jessica) Blevins Jr. of Texas, and a daughter Christy Evans (Lori Haynes) of Stout, a brother; Roy “Pete” (Lorraine) Blevins, 6 sisters; Lenora Blevins (Carl Holsinger), Harriette (Rick) Richmond, Brenda Parker, Audrey Roe, Louise (Kenny) Holsinger, and Wilma (Leroy) Holsinger, 12 grandchildren, special friend Cadillac Jack as well as many other friends, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday February 3, 2017 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rick Richmond officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery.
