Perry F. McBroom, 93

Perry F. McBroom, 93 of McDermott, died Monday, April 1, 2024 at SOMC Hospice. He was born July 28, 1930 in Rayville, LA to the late Perry F. and Maude Best McBroom.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Jovita Prose McBroom, whom he married on October 9, 1951, a son Larry Steven McBroom, a daughter Beverly Skaggs, 3 brothers: Edward McBroom, Ray McBroom, Vernon McBroom and a sister Lillian.

He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a retired diesel mechanic for Rish Equipment.

Perry is survived by a daughter, Vicki McBroom, 4 grandchildren: Deanna (Andrew) Ceneski, Barry (Meghan) Roach, Jovita (Chad) Scott and Daniel(Danyle) Maloney, 5 greatgrandchildren: Ashley Roach, Joseph Ceneski, Victoria Ceneski, Gwyneth Maloney and Alexandria Maloney and his buddy boy “Jack”.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday April 6, 2024 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery with military rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00PM on Friday and one hour prior to the service. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
