Donald Lee Hall 84,

Donald Lee Hall 84, of Raleigh, North Carolina, formerly of West Portsmouth passed away Wednesday March 28, 2018 after a brief illness. He was born September 29, 1934 in West Portsmouth to the late Perry Hall Sr. and Macy Puckett Hall. He is a graduate of Portsmouth West High School. Don was known as a good neighbor, community member and friend to many. He was a good father to his children and grandchildren. Don attended Friendship Baptist Church in Raleigh and was a member of the Free Masons. Don spent the majority of his life working in the construction industry and was a member of the Operating Engineers Union.

Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by wife Glenna (McGovney), and daughters; Deborah Lynn Hall and Velda Jean Hall and a son Donald Hall Jr.

Don is survived by a daughter Karen Sue Salina, a grandson Steven Salina both of Raleigh, a brother Perry Hall Jr., sisters Delores (Hall) Hoover Weber and Wilma (Hall) Hayter, of West Portsmouth and Friendship, 3 nieces; Roxanne Hoover, Bridget (Hayter) Brooks and Gina (Hall) Collinsworth, and 3 nephews, R. Tracy Hoover, Tony Hayter and Todd Bridwell.

A private graveside service for the family will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday March 31, 2018 at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott. In lieu of flowers, the family would wish for any remembrance gifts to be sent to The Gideons International. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W.
