Judy Lou Preston, 74

Judy Lou Arn Preston, 74 went to be eternally with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.  She was born May 17, 1943 in Portsmouth to the late Carl and Sylvia Ball Arn.  In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by a brother Dan. 

She is survived by her husband, William whom she married March 16, 1991, a brother, Ronnie (Cheryl) Arn, 3 brother-in-laws; Sam (Linda) Preston, Tony (Sue) Preston, and Clifford Jones, 10 nieces; Shannon (Mike) Whitis, Amanda (Steven) Stover, Sarah (Cody) Bartrum, Sarah (John) Burkhardt, Nicole Butler, Angie (Todd) Shiplett, Janice Cartee, Tona, Robin and Michelle, 3 nephews; Matt Preston, Little Tony, and Richard, 4 great nieces; Morgan Whitis, Clara Stover, Norah Bartrum, Lilly Lynn Burkhardt, 5 great nephews; John Preston Reed Burkhardt, Haydon Whitis, Callon Stover, Jacob Shiplett, and Caden.

She graduated from Green High School, attended Shawnee State University, and was employed 10 years at Empire-Detroit Steel, before spending her last 27 years at United States Enrichment Corp.

Judy loved the Lord, her church family, and loved to sing, not only at her church, but throughout the community with the Shawnee State Choir, several musicals at Shawnee State, Portsmouth Ladies’ Chorus, The Festival Choir and occasionally singing in other church Christmas cantatas.   She was also an avid sports fan, especially her Buckeyes, Bengals and Reds.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Grace Community Church at Bigelow, 5th & Washington with Pastor Gary Chaffins and Kevin Hay officiating and interment in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at the church starting at 12 noon.
