Richard Lee Ratliff, 87

Richard Lee “Dee” Ratliff, 87 of West Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord Sunday April 30, 2017 at his home. He was born August 15, 1929 to the late Guy and Emma Spencer Ratliff.  He was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.  He was a truck driver for many years.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Vivian May Ratliff, a son, Gary Ratliff, 2 brothers; Henry and Jerry Ratliff, 3 sisters; Gladys Marie Davis, Nellie Pearl Morgan, and Betty Joan Walsh.

Richard is survived by a son, Timothy Lee Ratliff of Dayton, a daughter, Cathy Sue Oehlerts of Minneola, FL., 2 sisters; Mae Benner of Mansfield and Ruth Mault of Xenia, niece and caregiver; Donna Kidder, 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Mike Davis officiating. Interment will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery in Goshen, Indiana at 2:00 PM Friday, May 5, 2017.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening starting at 5:00 PM. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to SOMC Hospice in Richard's name. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
