Virginia Agnes McCall, 87

Virginia Agnes McCall, 87 of West Portsmouth, died Sunday April 22, 2018 at SOMC Hospice. She was born October 5, 1930 in McDermott, to the late Albert Eugene and Mary Agnes Orlett Montavon. She was a former Beautician at Marting’s, a farm owner and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. She was also one of the original volunteers of the New To You Shop in West Portsmouth. Along with her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Charles McCall who she married on May 9, 1953, 3 brothers; Francis, Vincent and Edwin Montavon and 3 sisters; Marie Redoutey, Alberta Brown and Rita Dobbins.

Virginia is survived by 3 children all of West Portsmouth; Larry Wayne McCall, Patricia Elaine McCall and Beverly Kay (William R.) Malone, 2 grandchildren; Joshua Richard McCall of Irvine, CA. and Allison M Abramsky of Woodstock, GA., 2 great grandchildren; Emma Faith and Hunter Chase, a brother Albert Montavon and 2 sisters; Genevieve Burchett and Bernadine (Charles) Kelso.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday April 25, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Pond Creek with Father Nicholas Droll officiating. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday starting at 10:00 AM. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or SOMC Hospice in Virginia’s name.
