A. Keith Hopkins, 72
A. Keith Hopkins, 72 of West Portsmouth died at his residence Wednesday, October 25, 2006. Keith was born February 17, 1934 in Scioto County to the late Orin Lindell Hopkins and Irma Plummer Hopkins Campbell. He was a member of Dry Run Church of Christ and worked for both Williams and Drew Shoe Companies as a designer. Keith loved working with kids and was active in West Portsmouth Little League, worked with the West High School Girls Soft Ball Team and was involved with Shawnee State Girls Soft Ball Team. Keith was a Basketball referee for 28 years and a Football referee for 12 years.
Keith is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Ethel Nichols Hopkins; a son, Russell Keith ( Belinda) Hopkins; four daughters Vicki Kay (Walter) Bormann of Silver Spring, Maryland; Beverly Anne (Jim) Mauger of Lancaster, OH, Pamela Sue (Ronnie) Shue of Lancaster, OH and Linda Jane Hopkins of De Moines, Washington; two brothers, James (Ev) Hopkins of Wallace, ID, David (Sabrina) Campbell of Lyons, GA; two sisters, Betty Boren of Dayton, OH, and Penny (George) Mavridoglou of Cincinnati, OH; three grandchildren, Brian (Rebecca) Hopkins, Tony (Stephany) Hopkins, and Amy Mauger; four Great grandchildren, Keeli, Dillon, Dalton, and Devon Hopkins.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Monday, October 30, 2006 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Wayne Lewis and Mark Seevers officiating.
Interment will follow at Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 5 to 8 P.M. on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. The families favorite charity is Hospice of Southern Ohio. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
