Alba Colleen Jennings, 86

Alba Colleen Jennings, 86, (formerly of McDermott) of Hillview Retirement Home died Saturday February 20, 2016 at SOMC Hospice. She was born September 18, 1929 in West Portsmouth, Ohio a daughter of the late Leonard and Elizabeth Goodman, she was a shoe worker and devoted Wife and Mother. She was an active member of McDermott United Methodist Church involved in many ladies activities and in the choir. She also was active in her later life at Hillview participating in many social and volunteer activities. Along with her parents Alba was preceded in death by husband Elva J Jennings and his many brothers, sisters and their spouses. She was also preceded by her numerous special Aunts and Uncles.

Alba is survived by: daughter, Sandy Jennings of McDermott, son, Stan (Shirley) Jennings of McDermott, and daughter, Ruth (Wayne) Miller of Hilliard, Ohio. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday February 26, 2016 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Frances Newman officiating and interment in Rushtown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
