Alberta Burchett, 76

Alberta Burchett, 76 of Portsmouth died Tuesday May 12, 2015 at SOMC Hospice. She was born July 2, 1938 in Adams County to the late Alfred and Sarah Furnier Taylor. Along with her parents Alberta was preceded in death by 3 husbands; Bob Harvey, James Rose and Leroy Burchett, a brother Charles Taylor, 2 sisters; Rosemary Church and Ellen Fitzgerald and a special niece Sandy Church.

Alberta is survived by a step son, Leroy Burchett Jr. of Portsmouth, 3 stepdaughters; Teresa Frith of Michigan, Virginia Ingles and Michelle Chalfan both of Portsmouth, a brother Douglas Taylor of Sandy Springs, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday May 16, 2015 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Vernon Shively officiating and interment in Sandy Springs Cemetery.
