Alice Seagraves, 84

Alice Seagraves, 84 of West Portsmouth, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday November 20, 2008 at SOMC Hospice. She was born February 20, 1924 in Greenup County, Ky to the late Virgil and Rhoda Jane Holbrook Sexton. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. Along with her parents Alice was preceded in death by her husband John Kershel Seagraves who she married on November 21, 1942 in Greenup, 2 brothers; Denver and Dennis Sexton, 3 sisters; Mary Shepherd, Margie Wells and Lena Keeton.

Alice is survived by a daughter Monda Louise (Sherman) Kamer of South Portsmouth, Ky., 4 grandsons and their wives; John and Sherry Kamer of Wheelersburg, Brian and Stephanie Kamer of South Shore, Ky., Aaron and Alicia Kamer of Oak Hill and Shannon and Lacey Kamer of South Portsmouth, Ky., 2 sisters; Nora Watkins of North Lewisburg, Va. and Darlene Wells of South Shore, and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday November 23, 2008 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Brian White officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Saturday and 1 hour prior to the service on Sunday. The family's favorite charity is SOMC Hospice.
