Alvena Jean Entler, 75

Alvena Jean "Tootsie" Entler, 75 of West Portsmouth, died Sunday, December 3, 2023 at SOMC Hospice. She was born July 21, 1948 in West Portsmouth, to the late Henry Carl and Jesse Marie Burt Tieman.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Robert, Lee and Charles Tieman and a 2 sisters, Jessie A "Dollie" Hicks and Anna Belle Tieman.

Tootsie was the custodian and a member of Careys Run Church of Christ, she was a Friendship Girl Scout Leader and was a PTA volunteer at Friendship Elementary, she was member of the KY 1006 veterans, where she volunteered for many years. She loves to garden and traveling with her family.

Tootsie is survived by her husband, Jerry Entler, whom she married on February 21, 1975, 3 daughters: Jerri Lynn Entler, Alvena Marie Entler and Angie (Stewart) Armstrong, 3 brothers: James, John and Denny Tieman, 4 grandchildren: Meredith (Phillip) Duncan, Olivia (Hau Be) Juraszek, Adrena Sadler and Tag Sadler along with 2 great grandchildren; Addison and Helena Duncan.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, with Denny Dawes officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery.
