Ann Callihan, 93

Ann Callihan, 93 of Friendship died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Ann was born February 22, 1913 in West Union to the late John Franklin and Ethel Evans Pollard. Ann was a homemaker, a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, a member of Women's Group I at Friendship Church, and a member of the Nile Over 55 Club.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband Jacob "Red" L. Callihan; she is survived by two sons, Fred (Floda) Callihan of Girard and Joseph (Carolyn) Callihan of Stout; two daughters, Susan Conley of Friendship and Frances (Odward) Summerfield of Vienna, OH; two brothers, John Pollard of Dayton and Bill Pollard of Friendship; three sisters, Mayme Lawler of Columbus, Alta Thatcher, Nellie Parks of Lucasville and Betty Stephenson of Peebles. She was the proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren; a special nephew and his wife James and Reva Bibbey and two special friends, Treva Sizemore and Emma Shively. In addition to her husband and parents Ann was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Callihan and two brothers, Lee and Fred Pollard and a sister Alberta Artis.

Funeral services will be 11A.M. Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Friendship United Methodist Church with Matthew Brooks officiating and interment in Friendship Cemetery. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 5 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday and at the Church one hour before the service on Thursday.
