Anna Irene Hopkins, 80
Anna Irene "Sissy" Hopkins 80 of South Portsmouth formally of Stout died Wednesday October 12, 2011 at her home. She was born July 20, 1931 in Chillicothe to the late Herman and Marie Coleman Hopkins. She was a member of Pond Run Baptist Church and attended First Christian Church of South Shore. Along with her parents she was preceded in death Estel and Marie Hopkins who raised her and by a brother David Lee Hopkins.
Sissy is survived by her cousins and caregivers Jennifer, Tim and Zach Parson of South Portsmouth, nephew David Hopkins and niece Carolyn Noel and cousins; Phyllis Askew, Jane Howard and Jerry Hopkins, along with special friend John Askew.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday October 16, 2011 at Pond Run Baptist Church with Jimmy McCullough officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday at the Church starting at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
