Archie Larry Swords, 72
Archie Larry Swords, 72 of Jackson, formerly of West Portsmouth died Friday January 11, 2013 at Community Hospice Care in Ashland, Ky. He was born July 3, 1940 in West Portsmouth to the late Frank and Anna Odle Swords. He was a brick mason and a member of International Union Of Bricklayers And Allied Craft Workers in Portsmouth and Chillicothe. He was an avid hunter and was a Christian. Along with his parents Archie was preceded in death by a son Jacob Swords.
Archie is survived by a son Archie Larry (Mary) Swords Jr of West Portsmouth, 3 daughters; Jody (Tony) Rice of Ashland, Ky., Tonya (Ron Webb) Brogdon of Ironton and Julie (Tim) Eubanks of Ironton, 3 brothers; Bob, Ron and Al Swords and a sister Gretta Knolton, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
