Archie Allen Swords, 51
Archie Allen Swords, 51 of West Portsmouth, loving son, husband, father, and grandfather died Friday, July 22, 2005 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Archie was born October 17, 1953 in Portsmouth to the late Oscar Elvin Swords and Mary Ramey Swords of West Portsmouth. He was of the Apostolic Faith, and a self employed electrical worker.
He is survived by his wife Hannah Hossman Swords; four sons, Archie Allen Swords II, Jerrod Curtis Swords, Shane Robert Swords, Clint Andrew Swords all of West Portsmouth; one daughter, Amber Nicole Swords of West Portsmouth; six brothers, Oscar Swords, Jr. of Portsmouth, Tim Swords of Ashville, John Swords of Pond Creek, Rick Swords of West Portsmouth, Albert Swords of Pond Creek and Scott Swords of Pond Creek; three sisters, Gloria Means of Chillicothe, Cherry Briggs of West Portsmouth, Tressa Hackworth of Pond Creek; and a grandson Shawn Swords. Archie was preceded in death by a son Adam Swords and a brother Ronald Swords.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Monday, July 25, 2005 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with J.R. Holsinger officiating and interment in Mershon Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 9 P.M. on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
