August Jay Forbey, 72
August Jay Forbey, 72, of Portsmouth died Tuesday September 4, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born April, 5, 1940 in Portsmouth to the late Raymond and Ilga Lena Webb Forbey. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran and served 12 years after in the National Guard. He was retired from Ohio Department of Natural Resources where he was a Conservationist. Along with his parents he August is preceded in death by a brother Raymond and 4 sisters; Ida Mae, Helen, Betty and Georgia.
He is survived Juanita McGraw Forbey, 2 daughters; Felicia (Mike) Isgett of West Portsmouth and Maria Lena Forbey of Portsmouth, 3 grandchildren; Rider, Scout and Sailor Isgett of West Portsmouth and a nephew Fred Thomas (Jack) Jeffreys of Columbus.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Friday September 7, 2012 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery with graveside military rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday starting at 2:00 PM.
