Barbara Ann Morrow Charles, 86

Barbara Ann Morrow Charles, 86 died Thursday, December 20, 2018 at SOMC Hospice.  She was born June 30, 1932 in Portsmouth during the great depression to the late Art and Betty Barlow Morrow.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Epp Charles Jr., a daughter; Jean Colley, 2 sons; Jack Charles and William Charles, a brother; Paul Morrow, and 2 sisters; Mary Kay Hawk and Julia Walters.

Barbara attended Portsmouth West High School where she was a majorette and drum major.  She was a working mother of 6 when most women didn't work.  She was a bookkeeper for E. Charles Trucking for 30 years.  She will be remembered and missed.

Barbara is survived by 2 sons; Rick Charles of Sciotoville and Randy Charles of South Webster, a daughter; Katie (Roger) Hale of Georgia, a brother; Joe Morrow of Waynesville, Ohio, 2 sisters; Nancy Oiler of South Shore and Nora Netzer of Portsmouth, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Pete Shaffer officiating and interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.  Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
