Betty Lucille Blanton, 71
Betty Lucille Blanton, 71 of West Portsmouth died Friday, March 11, 2005 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Betty was born August 17, 1933 in Scioto County to the late Roby Roscoe and Cora Leona Brown Moore. Betty was a homemaker, worked in retail sales, and was a member of the Church of God.
Betty is survived by her husband Jay Blanton; three sons, Wayne Jay Blanton and Billy Joe Blanton both of Cocoa, Florida, Tony Everett Blanton of West Portsmouth; one daughter Judy Lavonda Blanton-Pope of West Portsmouth; one brother, Homer Moore; six sisters, Octaveen Hoffman, Catherine Salyers, Doris Kelly, Bertha Moore, Ruth Moore and Wanda Reed; five grandchildren, Robert Blanton, Shannon Wood, Destiny Blanton, Dustin Wood, Billy Joe Blanton II. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Shannon J. Wood, Jr., two brothers, Ray and Bryson Moore, and three sisters, Mary Hebebrand, Ocie Young, and Phyllis Cooper.
Funeral services will be held 1 P. M. Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Jeffrey Cooper and Johnny Broughton officiating and interment in Friendship Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 5 to 8 P.M. on Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
