Betty Lou Paynter, 72

Betty Lou Paynter, 72 of Lucasville, died Sunday September 27, 2015 at SOMC Hospice. She was born December 7, 1942 in Wyoming County, West Virginia to the late Frank and Effie Riffe Spencer. Along with her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband Millard Paynter who she married on November 18, 1959 in Lucasville a son Patrick and a daughter in law Laura Paynter.

Betty is survived by a daughter Audra (Larry) Fitzgerald of Lucasville, 3 sons; David Paynter and Franklin (Deborah) Paynter all of Lucasville and Mark Paynter of Columbus, a brother Joe Spencer, 6 sisters; Sue Sloat, Frances Spencer, Marie Miller, Virginia Paynter, Peggy Jenkins and Mary Hobbs, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday October 1, 2015 at McDermott Freewill Baptist Church with Craddock Frye officiating and interment in Big Run Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday starting at 11:00 AM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
