Betty Ruth Pistole, 87

Betty Ruth Pistole, 87 of Friendship, died Friday October 6, 2023 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City, Tennessee. She was born January 22, 1936 in Portsmouth, to the late Floyd Holsinger Sr. and Cora Colley Holsinger.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Frederick Pistole whom she married on August 6, 1956 and  2 brothers: Floyd Holsinger and Bob Holsinger.

Betty first worked at Wiliams Shoe Factory and then at Life Ambulance for 15 years.

Betty is survived by a son, Michael (Malissa) Pistole, 2 daughters:  Carla (Richard) Marasek and Teresa Pistole, 9 grandchildren; Michael Pistole, Matthew Pistole, Andrea Marasek, Andrew Marasek, Kendra Jody, Whitley Miller, Zachary Meeker, Breanna Kite, and Victoria Coriell, 16 great grandchildren; Kaitlin, Makayla, Chase, Alexa, Mylie, Brayleigh, Kaylee, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Janzen, Elin, June, James, Remmington, Channing and Blake, 2 great great grandchildren, Weston and Brendan.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday starting at 10:00 AM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
