Betty E. Riley Lewis, 73

Betty E. Riley Lewis, 73, of West Portsmouth, passed away peacefully. She was born on July 16, 1953, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of the late Raymond Riley and Thelma Lykins Riley. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alson Lee Lewis; and her sisters, Kay Howe and Shauna Riley.

Betty dedicated more than 30 years of service to Southern Ohio Medical Center before retiring. She treasured the time she spent with those she loved, and her greatest joy came from being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Carl (Shelly) Lewis; her daughters, Sherry Lewis and Susan (John) Lewis Eldridge; her brother, Tommy (Kay) Riley; her sisters, Brenda (Alfred) Hale, Jacqueline (Len) Mayhew, and Carlos "Carley" Lowder; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Carl Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
