Beulah Darlene Bowman, 69
The family of the late Beulah "Tookie" Mayo Bowman will be holding a Memorial Service, Saturday, February 24 at 11:30 A.M. at the The United Pentecostal Church in Portsmouth with Reverend William Knittle officiating. The church is located at Gallia and Young Streets directly across from Toro Loco.
Tookie was born on November 24, 1937, to the late Ollie V. and Fontella Proctor Mayo. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Andrew, Ebert, Ollie Jr. and James.
Tookie is survived by her husband, Paul Bowman, Sr., one son, Paul Bowman, Jr. of North Dakota; one daughter, Patricia Oleary of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren; one brother William of Mary Anna, FL; three sisters, Helen Martin of West Portsmouth, Madeline Keaton of Georgetown, KY; Juanita Puckett of West Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews.
Tookie attended the House of Cosmotology and had a beauty shop for many years. She drove a school bus for Pupage County, IL, and was a member of the Apostolic Faith for 34 years and attended United Pentecostal until her death.
