Beverly Lynn Horsley, 69

Beverly Lynn Horsley, 69 of Lincolnton, North Carolina, formerly of West Portsmouth, went to be with her Lord and Savior, September 6, 2026 at CaroMount regional Medical Center in Gastonia, North Carolina. She was born March 26, 1957 in Portsmouth, to the late Lee and Dorothy Mae Kitchen Hammond.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Barry Hammond and Brian Hammond.

Beverly was a 1976 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and received an Associate Degree in Social Services from Shawnee State University in 1979. She moved to Florida and married her childhood sweetheart Rick Horsley.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 47 years Rick Horsley whom she married on June 19, 1979, a daughter, Angela (Rob) Gurka of  Tennessee, 2 grandchildren; Carissa and Robby Gurka, a sister Brenda (Don) Shepherd, a brother, Bruce (Sheila) Hammond, nephews; Dr. Christopher (Amanda) Hammond, Seth Shepherd, a niece, Jordan Hammond, along with several nieces and nephews in Florida and Alabama.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2026 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Paul Gibson officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday starting at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
