Billy Joe Boyd, 72
Billy Joe Boyd, 72 of Hayesville, North Carolina died April 15, 2009 at Murphy Medical Center in Murphy North Carolina. He was born October 25, 1936 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Charles Edward and Lena Mae Smith Boyd. He worked for Empire Detroit Steel and was a member of Nauvoo Masonic Lodge #761. Along with his parents Billy was preceded in death by a brother Jack Boyd.
Billy is survived by a daughter Kathy (Edward) Lynch of Boynton Beach, FL, a son Bryan (Mindy) Boyd of Beckley, West Virginia, a brother Larry Wayne Boyd of Wheelersburg, 2 sisters; Lavanda Ricks of Portsmouth and Delores Shepherd of West Portsmouth, 2 grandchildren; Cassie Boyd of Beckley, West Virginia and Jeremy Loper of West Palm Beach FL, 2 great grandchildren; Jayden and Kaylee Loper of West Palm Beach, FL.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday April 20, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Jimmy McCullough officiating and interment in McKee Cemetery in Adams County.
