Blanche Belle Hodge, 94

Blanche Belle (Cooper) Hodge, 94 beloved wife, mother and grandmother of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away May 7, 2013 in Regency Hospital of Columbus, Columbus, Ohio. Blanche was born August 22, 1918, the first of five children to Grant and Ella (Sissell) Cooper. Along with her parents Blanche was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Hodge, who she married on February 14, 1938, a son Donald E. Hodge, a sister Marcella (Cooper) Libby, 2 brothers; Homer and Newton Cooper, a grandchild Kenneth Hodge and 3 great grandchildren; Matthew Lancaster, Brittany N. Buckler, and David Estep.

She was the mother of six children, five of whom survive her; Raymond E. (Sharon) Hodge, Roscoe (Joyce) Hodge, Robert (Imogene) Hodge, Phyllis (Don) Buckler, Gary Hodge and Michael (Reba) Hodge.  Survivors also include 17 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 38 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and her sister Genevive (Cooper) Dunlap.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday May 10, 2013 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with George Vastine officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery.
