Bobby Charles Bond, 72

Bobby Charles Bond, 72 of Otway, died Friday January 18, 2012 at SOMC Hospice. He was born June 8, 1940 in Portsmouth to the late Paul and Nellie Wilson Bond. Bobby was a retired ironworker and a member of the Ironworkers Local 73 in Columbus. He was also a Marine veteran, and a member of the American Legion Post 105 in London, the V.F.W Post 1176 of London and the 40 & 8 local 477. He was a member of West Union Masonic Lodge # 43, The Scottish Rite of the Valley of Columbus, a 32 degree Mason and a member of the Aladdin Shrine of Columbus; he was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

Bobby is survived by a daughter Anita Bond Skaggs of West Portsmouth, a stepdaughter, Rhonda Jordan of West Portsmouth, 4 grandchildren; Jesse and Evan Skaggs and Rusty and Brandon Jordan, a great granddaughter Payton Jordan, a brother Donald Bond of Otway and a sister Carol Day of Indiana.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Monday January 21, 2013 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Gary Burton officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8:00 PM and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
