Brad Edgar Staggs 29

Brad Staggs 29, of McDermott, formally of West Portsmouth, passed away Friday, March 05, 2010. Brad was born May 19, 1980 in Portsmouth to Connie Shultz Matthews of McDermott and Craig (Jill) Staggs of Sciotoville. He was a 1999 Graduate of Portsmouth West High School, a member of Laborer's Local 83, an avid North Carolina fan, enjoyed participating in the Portsmouth Dart League and coaching for West Portsmouth Youth Basketball League and was a member at Portsmouth Nazarene Church. He was preceded in death by grandparents; Paul (Gladys) Staggs, Edgar (Sarah) Shultz and grandmother; Marianne Spriggs.

Brad is survived by his wife and best friend, Alison Rudd Staggs whom he married May 31, 2003, their Pride and Joy, son; Brevan Ray Staggs, two brothers; Shannon (Cherish) Staggs of West Union, Jeremy (Becca) Staggs of Sciotoville, two sisters; Brooke Staggs of Sciotoville and Megan (Denny) Dalessandro of Raleigh, N.C., In-laws; Karl (Dorothy) Riley of Otway, Dale Swayne of McDermott, sisters-in-law; Jade, Brooke Swayne of McDermott and Alisha, Ashley Riley of Otway, nieces; Madisyn, Taygen, Tori and Taylor Staggs, Holly Risner, nephews; Alex and Zack Dalessandro, Blake Hatfield, grandfather; James Spriggs, aunt; Debra Shultz of McDermott and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Brad was a friend to all that knew him, a loving son, son-in-law, brother and husband. His greatest accomplishment in life was being a devoted father to his son Brevan. He will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be 1pm Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Mark Baer officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8pm on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
