Brian Lee Bennett, 63

Brian Lee Bennett, 63 of Batavia, formerly of Scioto County, passed away Friday November 12, 2021 peacefully with his family at Hospice of Cincinnati. He was born April 2, 1958 in Portsmouth to the late James Arthur Bennett and Janet L. Evans Bennett who survives.

Brian was a devoted husband, father and Papa. He retired as Senior General Foreman after 38 years of service with Norfolk and Southern Railway.

Along with his father he was preceded in death by a brother James A. (Noriko) Bennett.

Along with his mother Janet, Brian is survived by his wife Deborah S. Spradlin Bennett whom he married on August 20, 1977, a daughter, Rebecca L. (Steve) Surges, a son Brian L. (Taryne) Bennett Jr., a brother Roy S. (Ruth) Bennett., sisters; Carol Ann (Gary) Baker and Diane (Tim) Boyer and 6 grandchildren; Kaitlyn Longworth, Beau and William Surges, Kellan, Rylann and Brysen Bennett.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday November 18, 2021 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday starting at 11:00 AM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
