Carl Leroy Humble, Sr., 64

Carl Leroy Humble, Sr., 64 of West Portsmouth died Wednesday September 3, 2014 at SOMC Hospice. He was born August 16, 1950 in Portsmouth to the late James and Pauline Osborne Humble. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a former Buckeye Steel employee. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Carl is survived by his wife Wilma Jean Hayslip Humble, 3 sons; Dustin Ryan Humble of West Portsmouth, Douglas Eugene Humble of Indiana and Carl Leroy (Pam) Humble Jr. of Portsmouth, 3 daughters; Candace (Michael) Holbert of West Portsmouth, Tabby Lynn (Joe) Humble and Crystal Sowards all of Portsmouth, a brother Greg Coleman of Stout, mother in law Anna Hayslip of Stout along with 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday September 5, 2014 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in McKendree Cemetery with graveside military rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday starting at 11:00 AM.
