Carolyn Sue Davis, 78

Carolyn Sue Davis, 78, of Portsmouth, Ohio, died October 13, 2024 at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in South Webster to the late Wayne Shriver and Sylvia Ross Shriver.

Carolyn was a retired childcare provider who helped raise children of 3 families: John and Andrew Chabot, Truman and Clara Hash, Ethan, Ella, Emme, and Ezekiel Hochstetler. She was a 1964 graduate of South Webster High School where she was a 4 year sextette member.

Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her son Gregory Scott Davis, brother Bobby Shriver, and the father of her children Jack Denver Davis.

Carolyn is survived by 2 daughters: Julie Lynn Cooper and Nancy Beth (April) Davis, granddaughter Katelyn Nicole Cooper, Aunt Patty Ross, several nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Christ Methodist Church in South Webster with Ed Litteral officiating and interment in South Webster Cemetery. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 2 to 8:00PM on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service at the Church on Wednesday.
