Carrie "Teanie" Pollard, 81

Carrie "Teanie" Pollard, 81 of Buena Vista died Friday October 10, 2014 at her home. She was born December 3, 1932 in Sandy Springs to the late William and Carrie Kennedy Furnier. She was a homemaker and a member of the Buena Vista United Methodist Church. Along with her parents Teanie was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Russell and Laurence Furnier and 2 sisters; Dorothy Perry and Nellie Arthur.

Teanie is survived by her husband Floyd "Boone" Pollard who she married on August 27, 1955 in Manchester, a daughter Connie Sue (Bob) Kaylor of Buena Vista, her twin sister Clara Willadean Humble of Buena Vista, 2 grandchildren; Brandi Jo Kaylor and Melissa Ann (Joe) Roy, great grandson Bryson Matthew Roy and step great grandson Lathan John Roy.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday October 13, 2014 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Greg Cooper officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday starting at 11:00 AM. The family requests that any donations be made to SOMC Hospice in Teanie's name.
