Catherine Lavon Cooper, 69

Catherine Lavon Cooper, 69 of Wheelersburg, died Saturday April 10, 2021 at SOMC Hospice. She was born February 7, 1952 in Portsmouth to the late Watt and Mary Alice Neal Hamilton.

She was a loving wife and mother and a member of Bloom Freewill Baptist Church.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John and Kenneth Hamilton and a sister Sherry Ward and 5 unborn children.

Catherine is survived by her husband Wayne Cooper who she married on December 31, 1970, a son, Ethan (Tia) Cooper, 2 daughters, Lori Cooper and Vanessa (Chris) Desotelle, a brother Frank (Kim) Hamilton, 3 sisters, Connie (Phil) Bean, Vickie (Bobby) Collier and Brenda (Tim) Berry along with 3 grandchildren, Devin, Elizabeth and Tessa.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday April 15, 2021 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Roger Lavender officiating and interment in Mustard Cemetery.
