Charles Blevins, 77

Charles Blevins, 77 of Blue Creek, died Monday March 24, 2014 at his home. He was born July 5, 1936 on Upper Twin Creek to the late David and Viola Edith Fite Blevins. He was retired from Southern Ohio Medical Center. Along with his parents Charles was preceded in death by his first wife Anna Mae Cook Blevins, a daughter Vicki Blevins, 2 sisters; Mary Fitzgerald and Garnet Moore. Charles is survived by a son Charles Blevins Jr. of Blue Creek, a daughter Rebecca Blevins of Lucasville, a stepdaughter Melissa Messer of McDermott, a brother Alfred Blevins of Stout, 2 sisters; Anna Lou Journey of West Portsmouth and Rosalee Pennington of Portsmouth, 6 grandchildren; Abby, Katie, Madison, Allen, Nathanial and Staci, along with the mother of his children Bessie Blevins. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday March 27, 2014 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Sam Pennington officiating and interment in Sunshine Ridge Cemetery.
