Charles E. Wittenmyer, 63

Charles E. "Chuck" Wittenmyer, 63 of West Portsmouth, died Friday, January 5, 2018 at SOMC Hospice.  He was born January 3, 1955 in Portsmouth to the late George F. and Lucille Whitman Wittenmyer.  He was a 1973 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and a graduate of Shawnee State University.  He was a United States Air Force Veteran as well as a United States Army Veteran.  He was formerly employed by Southern Ohio Medical Center and Holzer Medical Center as an XRay Technician.  Chuck loved to read and play golf.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a son; Larry Thompson Jr., a brother; Dr. George Franklin Wittenmyer, and a sister; Linda Thompson.

Chuck is survived by his wife; Connie Easter Wittenmyer whom he married March 15, 1990, 2 daughters; Leann (Nathan) Mullins and Tiffany (Cole Simon) Stevens, a brother; Rick (Kim) Wittenmyer, and 2 sisters; Joyce Purdy and Lisa (Nick) Brown, a grandchild; Braeden Stevens, several nieces and nephews, and his special cat, Gypsy.
