Charles Leroy Montavon, 71
Charles Leroy Montavon, 71, of West Portsmouth died Saturday, October 2, 2004 at Heartland of Portsmouth. Charles was born March 24, 1933 in Scioto County to the late Joseph and Banna Smith Montavon. Charles was a Navy Veteran, A former Business Owner of Wrights Farm Center and a member of Holy Trinty Catholic Church.
Charles is survived by his wife Rosalie Orlett Montavon; a son Matthew (Beth) Montavon of West Portsmouth; five daughters, Christina (Jeff) Moore of Rarden, Karen (Mike) Queen of Lucasville, Sharon (Michael) Blankenship of Franklin Furnace, Catherine (Wes) Powell of Alverado, TX Charlene (Shane) Holsinger of West Portsmouth; a brother Lawrence Montavon of Otway; three sisters, Dorothy Scott of Portsmouth, Magdalene Stiverson of West Portsmouth, and Phyllis Bell of Memphis, TN; 12 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a grandson Gabriel Holsinger, a brother, Alfred Montavon; three sisters, Ella Schackart, Eileen Benner, and Ethel Rayburn.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at Hold Trinity Catholic Church with Reverend David Young officiating and interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
