Charles Wooten Jr., 56
Charles William Wooten Jr., 56 of McDermott, died Monday March 5, 2012 at his home. He was born June 5, 1955 in Portsmouth to the late Charles William and Thelma Craft Wooten Sr. He was a former Riverboat and construction worker. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Rita Fay Hicks Wooten, a brother Joey and a sister Margaret.
Charles is survived by a son Charles William Wooten III of McDermott, 4 daughters; Freda Fay McCormick of Franklin Furnace, Anita Kay Fraley of Portsmouth, Billie Joe Allgood and Payton Sierra Scott both of McDermott, 4 grandchildren; Brittany Nicole Allgood, William Joseph Fraley, Joanna Fay Fraley and Cody Ethan McCormick, 2 brothers; Lawrence "Bud" Wooten and Tony Lockhart both of West Portsmouth and a sister Edith Wooten of West Portsmouth.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday March 8, 2012 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth and interment in Vaughter's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday starting at 10:00 AM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
