Charlotte Eleanor Woodard, 80

Charlotte Eleanor Stout Bower Woodard, 80, of Portsmouth died Monday, December 26, 2016 at SOMC Hospice. She was born April 19, 1936 in Stout to the late Grover Cleveland and Clara Ellen Dillow Stout. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip "AB" Woodard, 5 brothers; Leslie, Archie, Russell, Reynold, and George Stout, 5 sisters; Lorena King, Mabel Bishop, Nellie Hall, Beaula Williams, and Dorothy Pollard. She was a 1954 graduate of Washington "Portsmouth West" High School, a volunteer at SOMC Gift Shop, and a member of Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling and was in various leagues throughout her life.

Charlotte is survived by 3 sons; Mike Bower of West Portsmouth, Terry Bower of Chillicothe, Todd Bower of West Portsmouth, a daughter, Kathy (Jim) Pierron of Portsmouth, 7 grandchildren; Leslie Keating, Brett Pierron, Sean Bower, Kyle Pierron, Abbie Bower, Tanner Bower, Westlee Bower, 6 great-grandchildren; Josiah, Grace, Stella, Miller, Beckham, Gavin, a stepson, Kendall (Debbie) Woodard, and a stepdaughter, Charlene Pierce.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church with Reverend John Gowdy officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the church starting at 11:00 AM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
