Chester E."Bud"Burns 72 of McDermott, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at SOMC Hospice. Bud was born April 26, 1935 in Adam's County to the late Lesley and Helen Gregg Burns. He was proceded in death by his wife Delores "Sue" Burns whom he married January 09, 1955 in Lawrence County; one son, Albert Burns and one sister, Louise Shanks. Bud was a member of the Deliverance Tabernacle and a retired Self-Employed Timber Cutter.
Bud is survived by three sons, Virgil "Buddy" Burns of McDermott, Michael "Hoss" Burns of Lucasville and Randy Burns of Piketon; five daughters, Carol Mummert and Rhonda Selvage of McDermott, Regina Cassidy of Lucasville, Anita Compton of Beaver and Andrea Spencer of Lucasville; three sister's, Catherine McCoy of Columbus, Edith Wyatt of Dayton and Gladys (Aileen) Lewis of Ironton; 17 grandchildren, Misty Wood, Chad Selvage, Christina Dingus, Jason Burns, Christopher Mustard, Aaron Mummert, Derek Spencer, Joshua and Jeremy Cassidy, Tiffany and Heather Burns, Laura, Rachel and Krystal Compton, Rebecca Adkins, Maria Hayes and Michael Burns; two great grandchildren, Gage and Logan Hayes.
Funeral services will be 1PM Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, with Rev. Donald Lewis officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
