Clarence Fred Shepherd, 68

Clarence Fred Shepherd, 68 of Portsmouth, died Monday May 25, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born in December 14, 1946 in Portsmouth to the late Clarence and Jean Mershon Shepherd. Fred was a 1964 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and received an Associate Degree from Southeastern Business College. He was retired from the United States Postal Service, was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, and was in the Navy Reserves. In addition to his parents Clarence was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Kay Shepherd.

He is survived by a daughter Lisa Shepherd, 2 brothers John Shepherd of Bardstown, KY, and Jeff Shepherd of West Portsmouth , 2 sisters; Mary Goad of West Portsmouth, Aggie Shepherd of West Portsmouth, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday May 29, 2015 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Larkin Cemetery with military graveside rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion.
