Clarence Otis Sperry, 72
Clarence Otis Sperry, 72 of Stout, died Sunday August 24, 2008 at Pleasant Hill Manor Nursing Home in Piketon. He was born June 7, 1936 in Boone County, West Virginia to the late Dewey and Myrtle Saxton Sperry. He was a carpenter and was of the Church of Christ Faith. Along with his parents Clarence is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Lorretta Sperry, a brother Lawrence and a sister Nellie Jane.
Clarence is survived by his wife Janice Workman Sperry, 3 sons; Gilbert (Ruth) Sperry, Jimmy (Cindy) Sperry and Delmel (Sharon) Sperry all of Stout, 4 daughters; Lisa (Pete) Saxton of Georgia, Teresa (David) VanHuss of Tennessee, Marie (Chris) Morrison of New Boston and Darlene (Chris) Meek of Gallipolis, 32 Grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 6 brothers; Harold, Carl, Dewey, Robert, William and Arlen and 2 sisters Mae and Jean.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday August 29, 2008 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend Jim Hodge officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery.
