Clores Marie Culp Milstead, 93
Clores Marie Culp Milstead, 93, of West Portsmouth, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 24, 2026, at SOMC Hospice. She was born August 11, 1932, in Portsmouth, to the late Warren and Frances (Galloway) Howard. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Culp; her second husband, Donald Milstead; a son, Joseph Culp; six brothers, Carol Howard, Clay Galloway, Jesse Ramey, Ernest Howard, Ed Howard, and Wade Howard; four sisters, Lillian James, Wanda Boyd, Janie Osbourne, and Oakie Howard; and a grandson, Jason Wayne Stephens.
Clores was the owner of Culp’s Mini Mart in West Portsmouth and a lifelong member of West Portsmouth Community of Christ Church. A true caregiver at heart, she devoted much of her life to caring for others. She also enjoyed quilting and cooking, using both as ways to share her love with her family and those around her. Her beloved cats, Tommy and Susie, held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol (Jimmy) McGraw, Paula Dyer, and Retha (David) Bollard; three stepchildren, Roger Dale (Teresa) Milstead, Pamala Norine Lane, and Crystle Lynn (Matthew) Justice; five grandchildren, Stacie Stephens, Gina Fyffe, Justin Dyer, Ryan McGraw, and Rachael McGraw; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her beloved cats, Tommy and Susie; her loving caregiver, Eileen Sloas; and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth, with Darren Lilly and Ed Crabtree officiating. Interment will follow in Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 11:00 AM Condolences may be sent to rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
