Obituary

Codie Wayne Morgan, 15

In loving memory of Codie Wayne Morgan 15 of Blue Creek. On Friday, April 20, 2007 Codie Wayne Morgan 15 went to live with our Lord in his Heavenly Home. Codie died at his residence on Upper Twin Creek in Blue Creek, OH where he resided with his parents and his brother and sisters. He was born on July 7, 1991 in Portsmouth to the late Kenny Morgan.

Codie had a rough few years until God lead him to Thomas Blevins and Rosalie Malone at the tender age of four. There they loved, nourished and raised him as their own for the next 11 ½ years.

Everyone who knew him, knew that his biggest passion was to hunt and fish with family and friends. Any time you saw Codie he was filled with stories of huge deer and wild turkeys. Codie was a tremendous help to his parents and everyone he came in contact with. If he was walking down the road past your house and saw you doing something—whether it was feeding your animals or packing in wood, he would stop to ask if he could help. He loved and was loved dearly by all of his family and friends.

He lived everyday to its fullest, never wasting a minute setting around unless he was teaching his three year old little sister Annie her ABC's and her numbers.

Codie was preceded in death by his biological father, Kenny Morgan; cousin, Chad Abbott and many other family and friends. He is survived by his Father, Thomas Blevins; mother, Rosalie Malone, Brother Michael Malone; sisters, Annie and Gina Abbott and also brother Tommy (Mary) Blevins and sister Trudy (Michael) Distel;
Aunts, Sherrie (Ronnie) Denning, Judy (Carson) Evans, Susie (Rodger) Holsinger, Linda (Don) Sparks; Uncles, Elijah (Connie) Abbott, Bobby Abbott, George ( Genia) Abbott, Robert (Sharon) Blevins, and Woodrow (Susie) Blevins. Codie had two special friends and cousins Tommy Denning II and Sierra Denning whom he spent a lot of time with playing the play stations, riding four-wheelers and doing all that comes natural for children their ages. Also Codie had many other cousins, family and friends too numerous to mention that he loved dearly. Although we know that God has big plans for Codie, he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with David Blevins officiating and interment in Stepp Cemetery on Sunshine Ridge. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday and one hour before the service on Wednesday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
