Cody J. Higginbotham, 67
Cody J. Higginbotham 67, of Portsmouth died Thursday March 31, 2011 at SOMC Hospice. He was born September 5, 1943 in Dunbar WV to the late Eros Bly Higginbotham and Stella Elizabeth Smith Higginbotham. Cody was a TV repairman for many years and served with the United States Navy. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca and 2 brothers and sisters.
Cody is survived by 3 daughters; Misty Thomas of West Portsmouth, Ginger Marie Bennell and Sherry Darlene Shaffer both of Florida, 2 sons; Chuck Estep of West Portsmouth, Elvis Estep of Chillicothe, 2 sisters; Iona Ross of Athens and Tesie Higginbotham of Newport, NC, and 6 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday April 4, 2011 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rev. John Robinson officiating and interment following in Greenlawn Cemetery in Chillicothe with military graveside rites by the James Dickey Post 23 of the American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 on Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
