Coleman Junior "Duke" Copas III, 74

Coleman Junior "Duke" Copas III, 74 of Minford formerly of Stout died Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his home.  He was born March 5, 1947 in Blue Creek to the late Coleman Edward and Lillian Pearl Evans Copas.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Morgan Copas, a great grandson, Brice Rothwell, 4 brothers; Donnie, Mike, Pete, and Dig, and 2 sisters; Judy & Mae.

Duke owned and drove a semi-truck, was a carpenter and welder.  He enjoyed working on the race car, riding his Harley, fishing and loved his 4-legged fur-babies.

Duke is survived by his wife, Norma Roe Copas whom he married March 5, 2002, 3 sons; Coleman "Chip" Copas IV, Johnny Montgomery, and Jason Montgomery, 2 daughters; Tammy Tackett and Teresa Copas, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a brother, Buck Copas, and 4 sisters; Betty Justice, Carlene "Mouse" Hughes, Charlene "Tark" Chaffin, and Patty Taylor, along with several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at McKendree Cemetery with Jack Howard officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.  Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
