Danny Colley, 61

Danny "Shot Gun" Colley, 61, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at home, surrounded by family and friends. He was born August 31, 1948, in Scioto County to the late Ira Colley and Sue Traylor Colley. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of James Dickey Post 23 American Legion, and a self employed truck driver. Along with his parents, Danny was preceded in death by two brothers, Ira "June Bug" Colley, David Colley, and a sister Vicki Colley.

Danny is survived by his wife Diana Colley, whom he married January 17, 1970 in Portsmouth; four sons, Danny Colley Jr., Jeremy Colley, Jody Colley, and Jamie Colley all of Portsmouth, two sisters Diane and Wayne Porter of Wheelersburg and Pam Colley of Portsmouth; five brothers, Jeff Colley, Pete Colley, Bill Colley, Mark Colley and Kenney Colley all of Portsmouth, 8 grandchildren; Kyle, Monica, Morgan, Marilyn, Emma and Jacob Colley, Ryan Hughs and Blake Jones.

Funeral services will be 1PM Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Brad Harris officiating, interment in Jacob Cemetery with graveside military rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion.
